First Aid Courses
This course is approved by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), which proves that we train to the highest possible standards. It is ideal for individuals as well as organisations who require qualified first aiders in the work-place. It teaches candidates the core skills required to enable them to work efficiently and effectively as the companies designated First Aider. EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (New 1 Day) COURSE This course is ideal for smaller, low risk companies that only need basic First Aid cover. It is also a cost effective solution for larger, high risk companies that have many floors or workplaces, who operate shift work and need basic first aid support for their staff who have completed the Three-Day First Aid at Work Course. Valid First Aid at Work Certificate (If the current First Aid at Work Certificate has been allowed to expire, then the full three days course is required to qualify). What makes this course special? This is a recognised qualification for individuals, which ensures employers compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Practical skills are also useful at home and in the community.
An Automated External Defibrillator - with a trained operator - at the site of a sudden cardiac arrest can improve the chance of survival from 5% to 80%. (A recent AED training scheme introduced to the staff at Gatwick airport has seen the survival rates of cardiac arrest victims increase from about 3% to 44%). The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has announced the biggest changes to the first aid at work regulations for over a quarter of a century. The changes occured on the 1st October 2009 the four day First aid at work course has become a three day course and the previous Appointed Person course is now a new one day "Emergency First Aid At Work course".
